UBC Library now has access to Encyclopedia of Public International Law (Max Planck). It is a comprehensive analytical resource covering the entirety of public international law. There is a mention in Canadian Architect (March 1, 2008) that UBC has selected Toronto-based design firm Diamond + Schmitt Architects to design the new Faculty of Law building. Link to full text (see second news item).
On February 7, 2008, the UBC Board of Governors approved a student-led initiative recommending that UBC Law begin the process necessary to change the name of its first degree in law from an LL.B. to a J.D.
